CDC DELEGATION GIVES MOASIS IMPLEMENTATION SITES A THUMBS UP!

The MOASIS team led delegates from The US Centers for Disease Control and prevention (CDC) to the two hospital sites where current projects (SIBI & SISROH) are being implemented

Cape Town, 27 May 2014 – Jembi-MOASIS had the opportunity at showcasing the current progress on two of its CDC funded projects namely, SIBI (Information System Based on Individual) and SISROH (Health Information System for Hospital Register of Deaths) at two hospital sites in Maputo, Mozambique.

The site visits were aimed at giving the delegation an opportunity to witness a live demonstration of the systems currently being implemented.  “It was great to see the reality of the good workMOASIS is doing” says Ms Mindy Hochgesang (CDC Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor) who formed part of the CDC delegation.  Additional delegates were Mr Jason Knueppel (CDC Informatics Advisor) and Ms Jan Flowers (Technical Program Manager, I-TECH) who shared the same sentiments after viewing and evaluating the two systems being implemented at both the General Hospital of Polana Caniço and General Hospital of José Macamo, in the city of Maputo, Mozambique.
