Jembi Hires another Graduate of The
University Eduardo Mondlane through Its Internship Program

As a partner of the National Institute for Employment of Mozambique, Jembi Health Systems consistently provides internship opportunities to university students and young professionals in one or more areas of intervention. On several occasions, such internships have led to full-time employment. This has been the case of the most recently hired Junior Developer, Simão Mazive.

Maputo, August 2018 – The mOASIS initiative supported by Jembi Health Systems started its activities in Mozambique with a group of informatics interns from the Computer Science Department of the University Eduardo Mondlane led by Jembi/mOASIS principal investigator Professor José Leopoldo Nhampossa. The interns who constituted the first technical staff of the project are today senior and lead developers for the organization. Jembi/UEM-mOASIS has kept the same tradition by providing internship opportunities to students and young professionals, which have on several occasions led to full-time employment.

Simão Mazive, a recent graduate of the University Eduardo Mondlane in Computer Science and recipient of an internship is another example of the Jembi/mOASIS mission to build local capacity. Mazive successfully assisted software developers and technical leads in several projects with varying degrees of complexity. Upon completion of the internship, an evaluation was conducted where his outstanding performance and contributions were deemed to add value to the organization. As a result, Mazive was offered a contract to join Jembi staff as recent graduation ceremony from UEM a Junior Developer.

Jembi’s commitment to build exceptional local capacity in the realm of information systems through the provision of employment opportunities to talented Mozambican professionals has been recognized by the National Institute of Employment at their 2017 Gala where Jembi received the Internship Award. In the same context, Jembi /mOASIS was recently invited by the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security to share its experience in promoting youth employment on 29 August of the current year at a seminar held to mark the “Labor Administration Day” – during the 54th edition of FACIM.
