Jembi supports SI-M&A Expansion and Implementation in Sofala Province

Jembi Health Systems provided technical support for the expansion and implementation of the monitoring and evaluation information system of the Ministry of Gender, Child and Social Welfare in 3 districts of the Sofala province.

Maputo, September 2019 – As part of the Educamoz project aimed at raising the quality of pre-school education services, Jembi Health Systems provided technical support to the Ministry of Gender, Child and Social Welfare in the expansion and implementation of the National Monitoring and Evaluation System (SI-M&A) in 3 more District Services for Health, Women and Social Welfare (SDSMAS) in the districts of Chibabava, Gorongosa and Cheringoma in the Sofala province.

During the implementation of the system, 61 technicians from SDSMAS, the National Institute of Social Action (INAS), Social Units and other civil society organizations in the social action area were trained on new tools for recording and collecting paper and electronic data to be used at different levels in accordance with the area of expertise, as well as the electronic system allocated to the SDSMAS Women’s Affairs and Social Action Bureau (RAMAS) for digitizing forms from social units and district summaries prepared by RAMAS.

Jembi has been providing technical support to the Ministry of Gender Child and Social Welfare in the development and implementation of the sector’s electronic monitoring and evaluation system since 2013. Today SI-M&A is in 37 sites with the last 7 implementations being in the Sofala province through the Educamoz project.
