Jembi / UEM-Moasis supported the Ministry of Health (MOH) in the training of technicians from the National Health System (NHS) in Inventory Storage and Management
Maputo, Mozambique – November 2019 – Within the framework of cooperation aimed at raising the quality of health services, Jembi / UEM-Moasis provided support to the MOH in training health technicians, in the process of managing and storing equipment and materials for use by the Ministry of Health, health facilities and partners.
The training, which took place in Maputo City in November, was held in two shifts for thirty days, and was attended by 36 staff from the Supply Center, National Directorate of Medical Assistance, Maputo Central Hospital and Internal Administration of MOH.The training focused on the use of management modules, including: 1) Inventory Management; 2) Storage.
Management techniques and their functional structure were presented, as well as the standards to be followed by the technicians regarding inventory and storage management to ensure the sustainability of the processes.The training was attended by MOH central level technicians, including the MOH’s Deputy National Director of Administration and Finance – who presided over the closing ceremony of the training, and used this ocassion
to call on all trainees to consistently use Inventory and Storage Management techniques.
Participants were unanimous in expressing their satisfaction with the content and methodology of the training,
emphasizing that their expectations were met to the point of feeling able to operationalize the lessons learned
during the course.
The MOH was visibly satisfied with the completion of the course and the performance of the trainees who, at
the end of the course, rewarded the professionals present with the certificate of participation and training.
